WAGGA CROWS JUNIOR RUGBY UNION

Welcome to Wagga Wagga CROWS Junior Rugby Union!

Next Committee Meeting is on Monday 18 May from 6pm at the Farmers Home Hotel - everyone is welcome to attend and participate.

Training continues on Wednesday between 5 and 6pm at Conolly Rugby Complex, all age groups train and all players can participate.

Friday Night Rugby continues this week, the Under 11s need to help out at the canteen this week, if you are an Under 11 parent, please contact Chiquetta on 0447 191 773 or ketterparbol.1979@gmail.com and volunteer. We now have HOT CHIPS, as well as sausage sandwiches, drinks and a range of confectionery.

This Sunday we host a full SIRU Gala Day. We need volunteers to help to set up, pack up and in the canteen throughout the day. The canteen on Gala Days is a great fundraiser for us, which enables us to cover a huge range of expenses associated with putting players on the paddock each week, Chiquetta is putting in a lot of effort to get things organised, but we need lots of helpers on the day, all Sunday player parents are encouraged to find time to help in the canteen during the day.

If you haven’t played at a Sunday Gala Day before and would like to try, a home game is an ideal opportunity, please contact the Sunday coaches to let them know if you are available. Preference will be given to players who have been to Sunday matches so far this season, but we will try to fit anyone who is interested in where we can – there will be room for Under 9s and Under 7s in particular.

Under 15s: Stuart Macaskill; 0429 772 551 or stuart.macaskill@alhgroup.com.au
Under 13s: Tom Murphy; 0418 414 973 or
kayles.tom@gmail.com
Under 11s: Mat Young; 0407 295 104 or
matnicyoung@westnet.com.au
Under 9s: Dean Bolton; 0459 405 259 or
dean.bolton@rmit.edu.au
Under 7s: We still don't have an Under 7 Sunday Coach - please volunteer if you are interested. All players contact Tim Sides; 0437 295 387 or
tim.sides@internode.on.net

We appreciate the effort of coaches and referees who give their time and energy to helping our players and managing teams each Friday and Sunday. Junior Rugby is about encouraging kids to participate, promote fair sportsmanship, keep it fun and relaxed with a good amount of competitive spirit (we aren’t playing for sheep stations, keep it positive).
